P I Y U S H D E S S A I works and thinking revolve around how spaces are imagined, built, and experienced—
from individual interiors to larger urban systems. His interests span architecture, urban
planning, and interior design, and he approach each of these not as isolated disciplines, but
as interconnected layers that shape everyday life.

Piyush H. G. Dessai :
A ARCHITECT WITH A FUTURISTIC VISION
He is an architect and urban planner with academic training from leading
national and international institutions.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the
Goa College of Architecture and a Master’s degree in Planning (Urban Planning) from the
School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi—an Institution of National Importance
under the Ministry of Education, Government of India (2021).
He is also a recipient of the
International Metropolitan Fellowship from the International Metropolitan Institute,
Spain.
He was selected as a Fellow under the Goa Chief Minister’s Fellowship Programme, where
he worked on research and policy drafting in the field of urban reforms for the Government
of Goa.
A YOUTH ICON
Despite his strict schedule ,Piyush Dessai always took out time to guide the young minds of India and BRICS nations.
He serves as a National Youth Advisory Council Member of MY Bharat,
Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.
At the international level, Piyush has represented the Republic of India at several global youth
and policy platforms.
He was one of the ten Indian youth delegates selected to represent India
at the BRICS International Youth Summit in the Russian Federation (2022), where he
participated in multilateral dialogues on sustainable development goals and youth
cooperation. He was also selected for the International School of BRICS Research (Russia,
2022) and has actively contributed to research and discussions on political, economic, and
humanitarian cooperation among BRICS nations.
In 2023, he represented India at the Arctic Business School in the Karelia region of the
Russian Federation and at Asian Dialogue 2023 in St. Petersburg, contributing to
discussions on scientific collaboration, youth research, and India–Russia engagement in the
Global South.
Approach
"Architecture, for me, is about building with intent. I am interested in how form, structure,
materials, and spatial organization come together to create environments that are both
functional and meaningful.
I believe architecture should respond to its context, users, and
purpose, rather than exist as a standalone visual statement.
I am drawn to designs that are clear, efficient, and people-centric, where every decision
serves a practical and experiential role.
Whether at the scale of a building or a small
intervention, my architectural thinking prioritizes usability, adaptability, and long-term
relevance."
